Kona Bike Check: Cody Wilkins at Freeride Fiesta

Check in with sgr rider cody wilkins

for a week of Freeriding in Guadalajara, Mexico.

“I’m so excited to be on Kona for 2023! My first real mountain bike was a 2004 Kona Stuff and to work with a local company in Bellingham on trail and film projects will be an absolute treat. I love the bikes and I’ve been able to get some airtime on my Process X down here at Freeride Fiesta. Looking forward to getting all the bikes dialed in and showing them off!”

Welcome To The Team, Cody!

Cody Wilkins built up this absolute dream of a Process X for Freeride Fiesta – an event in La Soledad Bike Park in Guadalajara, Mexico where some of the best riders in the mountain bike industry come together for a full week of insane shredding. The week is capped off by a public viewing day to wrap things up. SGR Rider Cody received a special invite as not only an athlete, but a digger as well.
Let’s take a closer look at the rig he brought…

For suspension, Cody is running an Ohlins TTX – 22 Coil w/ 548lb Spring in the rear and an Ohlins RFx38 lowered to 180mm up front.

Cody stays connected to his bike with the ultimate grip from his Tenet Occult Pedal. The rest of his pedaling power comes from his Saint Drivetrain.

This bike is rolling on RideFast Locomoto 27.5″ Alloy Rims laced up with Hope Pro 4 Hubs. Up front you’ll find WTB Vigilante 2.6 with TCS casing and in the rear Cody’s running WTB Vigilante 2.5 TCS.

Let’s talk numbers. In the cockpit you’ll find the Tenet Bodom AL Bar 30mm rise that’s been cut to 770mm and held tight with a Tenet Nora Stem (42mm to match bike offset). Cody also has his Process setup for maximum bar spin-ability with cable routing to keep everything spinning smooth.
