We’ve been on a little Kona Dream Build hiatus over the last few weeks and we are happy to announce that we are back to our scheduled Dream Build programing. What better way to welcome back dream builds than with this exquisite Honzo Dream Build from Ivan at Cycle Worx in Santa Cruz. Now, this bike is crazy rad and while the frame may be made of steel it’s absolutely dripping with Ti.

It”s pretty hard to get very far without noticing possibly the coolest cranks in existence. That’s right, Ivan has spec’d his build with Cane Creeks eWings titanium cranks. The rest of the drivetrain is a classic 11spd SRAM XX1 affair.

No matter how many times you see the eWings it never gets old. Kona WahWah II alloy pedals and a SRAM direct mount chainring round out the crankset.

There’s more Ti up in the cockpit in the form of a sexy Moonmen Moonriser handlebar.

How about those welds? A Chris King Headset keeps steering smooth.

The rest of the cockpit features a set of Paul Component cable-actuated Klamper disc brakes with compressionless housing. A SRAM XX1 shifter pod and Bike Yoke dropper lever complete the controls.

Some classic Derby carbon rims are laced to a set of Phil Wood hubs while a matching purple Hope floating rotor aids in slowing this rig down. The custom stickered Pikes are sporting a Push Industries HC97 Compression System.

The build is rounded out with a Bike Yoke dropper topped with an Ergon saddle and a Schwable Hans Dampf out back, and a Magic Mary up front.

Deity’s 787mm Skyline bar is mounted up on chrome finished Deity 31.8 Copperhead stem with TRP Quadium brakes.
