German Kona Ambassador Markus Zieher loves to get rowdy (just check his Instagram feed) and this burly alloy Process dream build is well and truly built for his aforementioned rowdiness. A 2019 Kona Process 29 DL forms the base of the build, there’s not a heck of a lot left from the original build, well apart from the rear shock and the drive train. He’s swapped out the wheels, fork, cockpit, and fork, let’s find out what with, shall we?

The stock SRAM NX Eagle crankset has a sexy oil slick Eagle XX1 chain wrapped around it.

Out the back the stock GX Eagle rear derailleur shifts that sexy chain up and down the NX cassette.

Markus has upgraded the fork to a Rock Shox Lyrik Ultimate RCT3 and then mounted up a set of Magura MT5 HC brakes. The rims are NOA DHC carbon hoops, and they just happen to be Markus Zieher signature edition rims!

The stock Rock Shox Super Deluxe needs no upgrading.

The COckpit is a Deity affair with a 35mm Copperhead stem holding 780mm wide Racepoint bar in place. Deity Knuckleduster grips keep Markus hands in place (or not in place if the situation arrises).

The Deity Speedtrap saddle sits atop a 175mm Trans X dropper post.

And the build is finished off with a set of Deity Bladerunner pedals.
