Spencer Arnold is one of the owners at Vedder Mountain Bike Co. in BC’s Fraser Valley. They have some of the most rowdy, loam-infested trails around and, to make the most of them, Spencer decided to build up this no-holds-barred stealthy Process X CR dream build. The frame is a size XL, with 29″ wheels front and back, the bike is in set up in the long wheelbase. The only stock parts are the tires and dropper post lever! The final Ride Wrapped bike weighs in at 34.04lbs.
For the drive train black seems to be the prerequisite requirement, SRAM’s new stealthy Lunar 10-52 GX Eagle drive train has been employed and to keep things black Spencer has fitted a XX1 black chain. A black OneUp chain guide helps with chain retention.
If you don’t know you won’t know right? Spencer has spec’d both ends of this bike with suspension from EXT, out the back you’ll find the Storia LOK V3. The custom built Italian shocks don’t come cheap, but their performance credentials run deep in both the bike and motorsport world.
Up front you’ll find the EXT ERA 170mm. The air sprung fork rides on 36mm stanchions and uses all manner of wizardry to deliver insane levels of tuning and performance.
Attached to the top of the fork is a matching set of Canadian brand Title components, a Title AH1 bar mated to a Title ST1 35/35 length stem, the contact points are REVGRIPS Pro suspension grips in half waffle.
The wheels are from Kamloops based WeAreOne Components and are Union rims laced to Industry Nine Hydra Hydra hubs, they are shod in Maxxis rubber, a 29×2.5 Assegai up front and a 29×2.4 DHR2 out the back. There’s a Cushcore in the rear too and of course black spokes and black valve stems.
We haven’t seen many Magura’s pop up recently so its cool to see these Magura MT5 Fabio Wibmer specials on this build. The rotors are matching 220/203mm Magura MDR-P’s.
The build is finished off with one of the few remaining stock parts, the 200m Fox Transfer Performance 200mm seatpost, the Chromag NQR seatpost clamp completes the build.
