Jason and his crew at Chainline Bikes have not slowed down in there commitment to building custom bikes for there customers and one of their latest builds definitely caught our eye. Now mullet bikes (hands up if you hate that term) are nothing new, but to be honest, we haven’t seen many here on the Dream Builds and we definitely haven’t seen a Honzo ST with the party out the back.
The build has picked up on the 2020 Honzo ST’s green highlights and really run with them, Deity’s Blade Runner pedals kicks things off, the custom decal’d Fox Factory 34 Grip 4 fork keep things rolling and a few little Deity components highlights in the handlebar and seat collar repeat the green radness. The drivetrain is a mix of Rotor’s all mountain R-Raptor Crankset and SRAM XO Eagle rear derailleur and cassette.
But the big story here is the 27.5″ wheel out back combined with the 29″ up front. The bike is sporting DT Swiss XM551 rims laced to Novatec Factor hubs (in green of course). The rear wheel is shod with a 27.5 x 2.8″ Maxxis Minion DHF.
Up front you’ll find a similar combo, the wheel is build around the green Novatec Factor hub again but this time laced to DT Swiss XM481’s. The front wheel is rocking a 29″ x 2.6″ Minion DHF.
Deity’s 787mm Skyline bar is mounted up on chrome finished Deity 31.8 Copperhead stem with TRP Quadium brakes.
