Kona’s always been a fan of Eurobike. Because we hadn’t attended since prior to the pandemic when the event’s location was still in Friedrichshafen, we were more than eager to get back for the 2023 edition and do things “The Kona Way.”

From Friedrichshafen to Frankfurt
Eurobike moved from Friedrichshafen to Frankfurt in 2022. Needless to say, we were curious about the transition from a quiet town near the Konstanz Lake to a supercity like Frankfurt. Four years had elapsed since our last Eurobike, and it was about time to show the world that we haven’t skipped a beat. After three days of building and a few new splinters in our fingers, our Kona compound was finally ready to welcome bicycle fans from all over the world. Our booth is like nothing else at the show. Where else could you find a fat bike mounted with a Reacha trailer and a BOTE stand-up paddleboard!

New bike days!
We brought some new stuff to unveil in Frankfurt, of course, because it’s not really a “show” without showing off a little, right? We took advantage of Eurobike to tease two new models from our future full suspension range with live Dreambuilds. Our brand-new Process X aluminum was built on the spot. This epic blue rocket will be piloted by our Super Grassroots rider Noah Hofmann along with an international host of rippers. Next up, we presented a sneak peek of our future Process 153 carbon. This particular build will be taken to many summits (and back) by our Factory Team rider Tito Tomasi.

We recently expanded our urban electric bike category with three new hub drive models: The Coco HD, Rove HD, and Dew HD. The colorway of our Coco HD, not to mention the price tag, brings a big smile to everyone’s faces. Included in our booth was a special build of our Dew HD fitted with a custom pizza rack (though, as you can see, it also excels at carrying beer) and a cruiser handlebar for a final touch of radness.

24hr party people
We felt like all this good news was a proper reason to have a party, so we did! And because partying is a serious business at Kona, we invited our friends from the Fat Cat Cycling Club, and WOW! did these guys blow up the spot. DJ Gewoon.open never disappoints! Thanks to Brewdog for keeping the hydration levels high during this wild and epic show.

We had a great time at Eurobike. It was good to see both new and long-time Kona dealers and hear about all the projects planned with our bikes. We’re already looking forward to Eurobike 2024. See you there!

Special thanks to BenGerrish, Niels Mertens and Brian for their help building up the Kona-booth!
