It is the first FKT (Fastest Known Time) attempt of this historical route. As well as being on a Singlespeed.

“Today, I’m really happy to let you know that I’ve just started a MTB singlespeed time trial along the @gtmc_vtt route. With 1380km from Burgundy to the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, the GTMC reveals a wide variety of landscapes. With over 25k vert it is a challenging one putting the trail as a world class route for self-supported challenge. Getting ready for this adventure had brought It’s ups and downs. I’m grateful to be surrounded by such encouraging, supportive and inspiring friends.”
