A last-minute decision to head to the Australian DH National Champs paid off for Connor Fearon this weekend. With The first round of the UCI DH World Cup canceled, Aussie’s fastest riders rolled into Bright.

“The track in Bright is very gnarly these days. It started out as a fresh loamy trail six or seven years ago but has since worn down to bedrock that’s horribly rough the whole way down!”

Connor has spent plenty of time on the big bike this offseason, but unfortunately, it was not enough to hold off fellow Adelaide local Troy Brosnan who beat Connor by just 1.2 seconds.

“It’s annoying to come second and miss out on the sleeve but I know I’m up there and it’s given me confidence for when the racing starts again.”
