Ambassador Julian Tyo built up this sweet looking Process 153 DL 29. He resides in Idaho, and views uphill as a means to an end, his bikes tend to be practically spec’d and subsequently overbuilt by most standards.

Tyo opted for Descendent cranks and GX drivetrain keep the bike budget oriented and functional. The T-Mac pedals provide a monster platform for his exclusively flat pedal riding. For trailside repairs, Julian is running a Backcountry Research strap with a 27.5 tube for tidiness with a Dynaplug Racer and WolfTooth Pack Pliers.

For the forks he’s opted for a Rock Shox Lyrik Ultimate with the MY20 DebonAir spring. The fender is a custom job from Groundkeeper featuring a picture of Julians old beer fridge.

Hand built wheels are Hope Pro4 hubs on alloy WTB Asym rims and Peaty’s valve stems, with Minion DHF and DHR in DD casing. For stopping power,  Zee brakes and Ice-Tech rotors and they are a great, no-nonsense option for all the riding Julian does.

In the cockpit you’ll find A complete kit from Deity- a company with Oregon roots now in Idaho just like Julian. He’s also running a OneUp EDC Lite for the quick adjustments.
