For Adam Diggle, n+1 isn’t just some funny equation relating to bike ownership. N+1 is an actual way of life. And the latest bike to be welcomed with warm arms into the Diggle household is this damn awesome Unit single speed. It’s functional, dialed, and of course it’s very bling.
Kicking things off in the drivetrain department you’ll find a set of polished Middleburn RS7 cranks with a Revolution components 32t ring out the back is a Box 18t SS cog on an Industry 9 hub. The pedals are Odyssey TrailMix pedals and the stainless bottle cage is from King.
Diggles day job has him building and servicing DVO suspension for the New Zealand market so it just makes sense that he’d build the Unit up with some squish up front, namely a 100m travel DVO Diamond fork.

The wheels are We Are One Union rims laced to Industry 9 Hydre hubs, they are shod with meaty rubber from WTB in the form of 2.6″ Rangers.

In the cockpit, you’ll find more local produce in the form of some Kiwi-made Vibe Bikes Crawl handlebars. ODI Longneck grips, an S&M Turtleneck stem and a set of Shimano Deore brake levers complete the setup. A OneUp 210 dropper keeps that steep seat angle in check on the steeps.
A custom-made frame bag from Wellington, NZ company Stealth, means just like Deniro’s in Heat, Diggle is ready to go in 30 seconds flat. “Don’t let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner.”
