Gary of Garys Projects restored this sweet retro Chute back to it peak, it’s been fully serviced and rebuilt so is running as sweet as ever. Gary wanted to build something fun to hop around on, inspired from the early 2000s DH/FR/DJ bikes! He loves this era of Kona because everything seemed so raw and wild back then. Take a look at the full build…

The Chute comes with a baller single speed setup and Shimano Saint 170 cranks.

The pedals are Sunline V1 to keep the build as close to original as possible.

Up front you’ll find a 99 Marzocchi Z1 Bam fork.

This bike is rolling on a Dice hub up front and a mix of a Deore shell with an XT Driver in the rear.

You’ll find an SDG Bigboy resting on a Tahoma 30.0 seat post with a chromag seat post clamp.

Up front you’ll see a Race Face Diabolus D2 with an Amoeba stem lock and Spank Spoon 40mm rise bars.

Gary has collected the stickers from “all the people that I met online & dig their vibe.” Simple as that. Gary, we dig your vibe.

If this post wasn’t enough for you, check out Garys YouTube where he walks you through the whole build!
