Josh Harris from Somercycle Bikes in Somerset, KY tagged recently used the #KonaDreamBuilds hashtag to draw our attention to his extremely rad custom Hei Hei CR DL. Josh wanted to build a trail slaying rig that could perform double duties at his local XC races. #DownWithDownCountry

Kicking things off with the drivetrain, Josh has gone for a mostly SRAM affair, with X01 carbon cranks and a matching X01 AXS shifter and derailleur, the chainring is a Wolftooth oval and the rear cassette is a 9-50t number from the folks at Ethirteen..

Suspension wise you’ll find a 130mm travel Rock Shox Pike Ulitmate up front and the stock RockShox Sid Luxe Ultimate out the back.

Now that 130mm travel Pike is complimented with a Wolftooth Components 1° angled headset in the slacker position, and then mated with a One Up Components bar, stem and EDC tool combo (35mm rise bar and a 35mm stem) as well as a pair of Wolftooth Components Fatpaw silicone grips.

Braking comes courtesy of a set of SRAM G2 Ultimate 4-piston silver brakes.

The wheels are from Canadian brand NOBL  and are their TR37 carbon wheels laced to DT Swiss 180 hubs, and are shod with a Maxxis Rekon 2.4 up front and a Maxxis Ardent Race 2.35 in the rear. The build is rounded out with a Fox Transfer 200m dropper post, a Wolftooth seatpost collar, and a set of Crank Brothers Stamp 7 pedals.
