This summer has definitely been a little different than years passed, normally by this time we would have spent many days traveling further away riding bikes all over southern BC. Staying closer to home this year has reminded me of all the rad trails we have close by. This has also allowed me to explore a few spots less traveled by mountain bike.

Longworth Peak, located 160km east of Prince George has been on my radar for a couple of years, and it finally lined up to go check it out. We packed up and got an early start.

The first bit was rad, riding through the forest of old growth cedars. The trail was rooty and slick, but a little mud will add some spice for on the way down! We weren’t sure what to expect, as we were only going off of beta from asking people around town.

As we hit the summit it was all smiles. Time to get our shred on!

Good times were had as we made quick work of the 1100m of loose downhill.
