Kona Ambassador Sandra Beaubien, loves to ride her mountain bike, but spring in Ottawa is mud season as the singletrack trails that are fun fatbike trails in the winter start to thaw. Her urge to ride singletrack is strong, and she goes on a mountain bike vacation every spring with her Process 134 CR to Southern Utah.

The signature trail network is Gooseberry Mesa and a quick conversation with locals will lead you to many other slickrock riding areas nearby.

The trails are rocky and technical and the views are expansive.  It takes a couple of days to transition from smooth snow-covered trails to rocky, technical terrain but it helps her get ready for the mountain bike coaching season. It is just enough of a flirt with dirt to get stoked for the upcoming season and to patiently wait out mud season.
