Kona UK’s Instagram teased this epic Sutra LTD build last week and yesterday morning Kona UK rep and photographer Ben Hazell unveiled this epic photo set that really captures this amazing bike in all its silver and chrome glory. The bike’s owner, Jon (@jonsbikerepair),

“I wanted a steel frame because it rides so nice, and I specifically wanted the Kona Sutra LTD because of the geometry inspired from the MTB side. The bike will be used for different reasons and is capable of being used on so many types of trails, it’s built to be functional as is, but it’s also comfortable and fun to ride and has that stunning paint job to top it off.”

Jon wanted to wave a flag for some UK brands with the build and kicked things off with legendary English crank maker Middleburn. The chainring is from a fellow UK-based company Hope of course. It’s mated to a Shimano GRX rear derailleur.

Sticking with the British theme Jon has opted for some Halo Vapour rims laced to Hope hubs. Both front and rear wheels are shod in 700x45c Maxxis Rambler’s.

More Hope goodness in the stem, headset and hub department. Braking is taken care off with a set of Ultegra calipers mated to GRX shifters.

This bike looks like an instant classic!

The build is completed with Kona branded drop bars and seat post with Jon’s favorite Maddison saddle.
