Super Grassroots Rider Kyleigh Stewart Intro to Dirtjumps - A Sessionable Group Ride

Super Grassroots rider Kyleigh Stewart is the buddy we all want to session dirt jumps with! Her effortless style and simple pointers inspire those around to get after it! This ride is from 11:00AM to 12:00PM and we’ll be meeting at the Fitzsimmons Creek bike skills park!

About Kyleigh Stewart

I am a mountain bike rider and coach from Kamloops BC that’s currently chasing the women’s freeride scene and doing the occasional DH race along the way for good measure. For 2022, I am super excited to do the entire Crankworx World Tour, as many freeride events as I can, and any other events that may present themselves along the way!

THURSDAY, AUGUST 11TH

Factory Rider Miranda Miller INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED MTB RIDE

Ready to get out for a rip? So is Factory Team Rider Miranda Miller! Join her for an intermediate/ advanced ride. We’ll meet at the Kona booth in the Village at 9:45. You will need a lift ticket for this ride as we will be going into the Bike Park. Photographer Caleb Smith will be with us to capture the magic and you’ll be able to download your photos after the event.

We’ll have you back to the tent by 12pm for something extra special. We are teaming up with Squamish legends Alice and Brohm Ice Cream for a post-ride ice cream social. Everyone that attends Miranda’s ride will get a free cone from what we’re pretty sure is the best ice cream in the world.

About Miranda Miller

I’m a Sea-to-Sky local. I lived in Pemberton until I was 12 and then relocated to Squamish, where I live now. People are constantly saying how rare it is to meet a true local, but I guess if you’re a true local you know all the locals…and it’s not that weird. My love has always been the feeling you get when going fast, so growing up it was all about finding speed and new ways to obtain it. I’ve spent the last 10 years of my life chasing speedy dreams around the world, discovering the feelings of failure, regret and what broken bones feel like; but more importantly confidence, inclusion and in my eyes, success.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 12TH

Ambassador Peter Wojnar's Story Telling Clinic

10AM – 1PM

Everyone knows that content is king (or queen) these days. We ride around with the perfect tool to capture incredible content: our phones. But how do you lace together photos or video clips into something more than just a shredit? Join Kona ambassador, storyteller, and Dirt Diaries filmmaker Peter Wojnar in this free-flowing, interactive discussion about shaping a story in any medium. Bring your bike, your phone or camera, and your curious storytelling eye for a ride that’s part discussion, part workshop, and part shoot—and see what comes of it! Whether you want to focus on photos, videos, or writing, you should expect to ride a moderately challenging trail in the Whistler Valley.
